Schedule for the day:
*Students will need to bring all items to wear for their school uniform. Colorguard items will be communicated through the Colorguard band app. For Musicians – Band Shoes, Long Black Socks – no gloves. Hair will be up and neat 🙂
Students during advisory classes will pull their school uniform
11:30am – All Smiley students are released from classes – students in 4B, 5A, and 5B lunch need to bring a sack lunch
Smiley students will change into school uniform. Smiley students who have permission to drive and assist with equipment may leave at 12:00pm.
In addition, if a family member is available to drive your student over to Milburn, please indicate that on the permission slip.
12:00pm- All Milburn students are released from classes to change into uniform. These uniforms will be brought over to Milburn in advance
12:15pm – Smiley students who are taking the bus will depart. We will take a count in class on Friday of who will be taking the bus from Smiley to Milburn.
12:35pm- Arrival at Smiley – bus riders – we will leave all belongings in the Milburn Band Room.
12:45pm – Rehearsal in Milburn Auditorium with all members for staging.
1:10pm – Marching band is staged in cafeteria until call time for ceremony
1:15pm – Doors open for public – Auditorium side 🙂
1:30pm – Ceremony begins
2:30pm – Ceremony concludes; Meet and greet at the end.
3:00pm – Milburn students need to change out of the uniform and give to their section leaders. All large equipment will be organized by section leaders and brought back to Smiley after this event.
*Smiley students will need to come back to Smiley immediately following this event to return uniforms and equipment. Leadership will be in charge of getting Milburn equipment and uniforms back.
*A return bus will not be available. Band Together leads will assist in coordinating rides for students if need be.
Rehearsal will be 6:00pm-8:00pm instead of 5:30pm-7:30pm to allow time in between to stop at home and for food. This rehearsal is learning Part 4 in preparation for our first official contest.
